Many parents choose their pediatrician before their baby is born.

Welcoming a new baby into your family is one of life’s most exciting moments. It also comes with a lot of questions — especially when it comes to your baby’s health.
Choosing a pediatric provider is an important decision, and at KidMed we are honored to be considered as part of your child’s care team.
Our goal is simple: to support parents and provide thoughtful medical care that helps babies get the healthiest start possible.
Why choose KidMed for your newborn?
With more than 30 years of pediatric experience, Kelly Durham — known to many of her patients as “Miss Kelly” — has spent her career caring for children and supporting the families who love them.Together with the KidMed team, she provides what we like to call “mom-quality care.” That means the kind of careful, attentive medical care you would give your own child if you happened to be a pediatric medical professional.
With hundreds of happy families and a 5-star rating on Google, parents can feel confident that their baby is in caring and experienced hands.
Prenatal consultations
Many parents like to meet their pediatric provider before their baby arrives.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends choosing a pediatrician about three months before your due date, and we are happy to meet with expecting parents during that time.
During a prenatal consultation, we can:
• Talk about what to expect during your baby’s first visits
• Answer questions about newborn care
• Discuss feeding, sleep, and early development
• Help you feel confident about your baby’s first weeks
It’s a relaxed conversation and a great way to get to know our team before your baby arrives.

Questions New Parents Often Ask
When should I schedule my baby’s first visit?
Most newborns have their first pediatric visit within a few days after leaving the hospital. We will help you schedule that appointment and make sure everything is on track.
What if I’m not sure about something?
Newborns don’t come with instruction manuals. We encourage parents to ask questions — whether it’s about feeding, sleep, growth, or something that just doesn’t seem right.
Do I need to bring anything to my baby’s first visit?
Just bring your baby, your questions, and any paperwork the hospital provides. We’ll walk you through the rest.
